Of course, there has to be at least one patriotic film in the list of Pakistani movies, 2019. Sherdil is a tribute to Pakistan Air Force (PAF). The focus has shifted from the Army to PAF after Parwaaz Hai Junoon (2018).
The movie is also a period piece set during the 1965 war. Sherdil cast includes Mikaal Zulifkar who plays a pilot and Armeena Rana Khan as the female lead. Other actors Sabeeka Imam, Laila Zuberi and Hassan Niaz are also part of this film.
The teaser takes us back to the India-Pakistan war of 1965. The film revolves around Mikaal, who is playing the character of a Pakistani fighter pilot. The minute-and-half-long video highlights his life at the PAF training academy and how he learns the importance of duty, honour and love for one’s country along the way.
